Community Exhibits

Art shouldn’t feel far away, hard to access, or like it belongs to somebody else. It should belong to all of us and show up as a natural part of everyday community living.

Our community exhibits are one way we make that happen. By inviting everyone to share a little piece of themselves—a cell-phone photo of a pet you love, your big cheesy smile, a memory from your childhood—and by and bringing all of those individual contributions together in a familiar space, we turn the places we share into community experiences that feel simple, human, and real.

When art becomes someThing we make, experience, and share with the people around us, it gives us a reason to come together, notice each other, laugh, remember, contribute, and connect in ways that really matter.

Nothing fancy. You don’t need to know anything about art, call yourself creative, or feel like you belong in an art space. You just have to show up as you art!

That’s what these community exhibits are about: bringing art closer to people, making room for more people to be part of it, and seeing what can happen when a community comes together to make someThing of its own.
