Featured Mohawk Valley Artist: Justin Como

We’re excited to share that Justin Como, one of our local lead community artists, was recently featured in Mohawk Valley Today!

The article highlights Justin’s artistic practice and deep connection to the Mohawk Valley, as well as his work as an educator, sculptor, and community collaborator. We’re especially proud to see his work recognized as the volunteer lead artist for Thing 5! That’s the Herkimer “Diamond Soup” Community Mural we completed last fall, located behind Stone Soup on Main Street in Herkimer.

The “Diamond Soup” mural was created as a collaborative, community driven project bringing many Herkimer based artists and neighbors together to help imagine, design, and paint a shared work of public art that reflects the Herkimer spirit.
