The Art Thing Collaborative will be joining the Cornhill Spring Fest as a participating nonprofit for a day of music, food, games, community connection, and mural painting at the Cornhill Empowerment Center.
Presented by the Cornhill Revitalization Project, this free community event invites neighbors, families, and local organizations to come together and help bring a new mural to life in Cornhill.
TAT will be tabling at the event, and some of our artists will also be assisting with the facilitation of the community mural painting activity.
Alongside TAT’s participation, our Executive Director, Nick Stag, will be sharing Veryone, a participatory self-portrait of Everybody the Artist. Veryone is an independent art thing that invites participants to step in front of a special mirror and respond to the question, “Who do I see?” Each individual reflection becomes part of a larger collective self-portrait, gradually revealing a shared picture of the people and identity of the community.
At Cornhill Spring Fest, this project will offer a simple, human-centered way for residents and neighbors to be seen, heard, and reflected as part of the larger story of Cornhill.
Come say hey, get some good grub, paint with the community, and celebrate Cornhill with us!
