Join us for a special outdoor pilot of Sound Journey from 3:00–5:00 PM in the park beside 4 Elements Studio, as part of their historic ribbon cutting celebration.
This special outdoor pilot invites the community to experience the program for the first time and help shape its development through participation and feedback.
What is Sound Journey?
Sound Journey is an immersive, sound-based arts and wellness program being developed by The Art Thing Collaborative in international partnership with MindSpa/Synctuition as a way to create shared restorative experiences of calm and connection while exploring new ways to bring accessible arts and wellness experiences into more community spaces
Participants are invited to put on a pair of headphones and journey together a shared listening experience where they can simply slow down and be present together in rich and immersive soundscapes inspired by nature.
Participants describe the experience as “very relaxing, mentally immersive, and grounding,” “like a supercharged meditation session,” and said things like “my body was very relaxed afterwards” and “my mind was running at a lower gear.”
What We’re Exploring in This Public Pilot
This is the first time Sound Journey is being opened to the public. Our first pilot was a small, invitation-only test that gave us really encouraging feedback and helped us learn more about how the experience works. This next version is an exciting step forward, not just because it opens the program up to the wider community, but because it lets us explore how Sound Journey feels in a more open, outdoor setting.
This time we’re testing a come-and-go format that allows people to enter and exit freely and experience Sound Journey in whatever way feels most natural. You can drop in for a few quiet minutes or stay longer and settle into it. Participants are welcome to sit, lie down, move around, wander, reflect, or simply be present. The intention is to create a shared space for calm, presence, reflection, and connection.
A new program, shaped with the community
Because Sound Journey is still new, this pilot is also a chance for us to keep learning what the experience can be. By coming and taking part, you’re helping us shape how it might continue growing as a low-barrier, community-based arts and wellness offering.
This event is free and open to all. Whether you’re curious about Sound Journey, interested in arts and wellness, or simply looking for a moment to slow down and reset, we’d love for you to join us for this special public debut.
